When your Petling has grown into adulthood, you're then able to buy another Petling. You can only own 10 Petlings at a time. Once a Petling has reached adulthood, you have the option of selling it for a third of its original price in coins. You cannot recycle your Petling.

There are other types of Petlings you can own, which are a tiger and coyote. These Petlings could be purchased from either the Garden Center or the Cash Shop for 25 PF cash, and is raised in much the same way as the cat and dog Petlings except that they eat different things. To get the most out of the game, your need to get Pet Society cheats. You can buy a Petling bed as a decoration, but Petlings rarely sleep in them.

Some other Petling released later were the lion, leopard and lamb. Random fur and eye color are available for these Petlings.

If you don't feed a Petling for three days in a row, it will run away to find food. For each Petling that runs away, you pay 200 yellow coins, or you can send a notification to the News Feed so other players can find your Petlings for you in return for a 200 coin reward.
